Relative Quant is a customized targeted proteomics service based on Multiple or Parallel Reaction Monitoring (MRM and PRM). MRM and PRM are targeted proteomics techniques that offer highly specific and sensitive quantification of selected proteins from complex biological samples.
 

Relative Quant is a customized targeted proteomics service based on Multiple or Parallel Reaction Monitoring (MRM and PRM). MRM and PRM are targeted proteomics techniques that offer highly specific and sensitive quantification of selected proteins from complex biological samples.

The Relative Quant service includes sample preparation, assay development for the selected proteins and measurements of your samples in our state-of-the-art proteomics lab or transfer the method to your facility. Relative Quant allows high-throughput quantification of up to 150 proteins and is ideal for researchers interested in relative quantification of selected proteins in hundreds or thousands of samples.

Relative Quant analysis is available for virtually any species and any biological matrix. Detailed information for the most frequently requested sample types:

Project management

  • We make sure we understand your research objective
  • We determine the most suitable proteomics strategy together with you
  • A scientific project manager prepares a project proposal –you take a go/no go decision
  1. Project Execution
  • We start the project the moment we receive the samples from you
  • The scientific project manager reports on progress to you in regular intervals
  1. Project Reporting
  • A final report with all data and a description of all methods is delivered upon project completion
  • Depending on the number of samples the turnaround time from receiving the samples to final report is 2-4 weeks

 

Deliverables

The results are presented and discussed with you in a seminar or webinar and results are delivered electronically in PDF and Excel formats and contain:

  • Executive summary
  • Materials and methods (suitable for publication)
  • Complete data matrix:
    a)
    Normalized relative protein intensities for all detected proteins or absolute quantities if stable isotope standards were used.
    b)
    Protein annotation (based on Uniprot Knowledgebase)
  • Differential expression analysis:
    a)
    Regulated proteins with regulation factor and p-value.
    b) Raw data traces of target proteins available upon request (extracted ion chromatograms).
    c) Selected quality control parameters
