Biomarker Discovery is a standardized discovery proteomics service based on Hyper Reaction Monitoring (HRM-MS™), a next-generation proteomics technology invented at Biognosys for quantification of complete proteomes.
Biomarkers play a vital role in the development of therapies, as well as the diagnosis and personalized treatment of diseases. Finding and validating novel biomarkers remains challenging. Biognosys’ discovery proteomics (HRM-MS™) technology enables the quantification of thousands of proteins per sample and the identification of significantly regulated proteins as biomarker candidates. These candidates can then be validated using a targeted proteomics approach (MRM or PRM), where up to 100 proteins per sample can be accurately quantified by either relative abundance or absolute levels across thousands of samples in a high-throughput mode.
The Biomarker Discovery service features a set of proven HRM workflows offering a choice of depth for the proteome profile and a fast turnaround time of 5-6 weeks for standard projects. It is ideal for researchers who are looking for a deep proteome quantification service to identify biomarkers in a hypothesis-free manner.
Post-translational modification analysis or other customized services are also available upon request.
The Biomarker Discovery services can be carried out for virtually any species and biological matrix.
